Microsoft and NBC Break Up

After more than a decade and a half Microsoft and NBC have finally called it quits on their joint project MSNBC. The parent company of NBC, Comcast, bought out Microsoft's half of the MSNBC venture. Not only did they drop the MS they completely changed their url to NBCNews.com, something you don't often see with such high trafficked websites. This is a move that just had to be made, like ripping off a band-aid, you just have to go ahead and make the change. Overall, both companies see this as a mutual decisioned split and are pleased to have more control over their content and news providers.
