DENVER, CO - When a serious highway accident occured it spurred one Colorado State Trooper to take action. Out of that action Flying Wheels Foundation was born, giving financial aid to Colorado State Troopers who have been injured in the line of duty. Flying Wheels has created a brand new website as a tool to reach out to troopers and the community. The website was built and developed by Crew Designs, a leading web and app technology firm.
The new website showcases the non-profit organization and brings to light the everyday issues the our civil servants go through on a day to day basis. The site features information about the Bicycle Colorado Tour, a 462 mile, 7 day trip through the Colorado Rockies. Through this intense bike ride the Flying Wheels team raises awareness for their cause.
One of the most important features was a way to raise funds and donations. Crew Designs built an intuitive system that makes donations easy to use, as well as grabs the attention of site users. It is currently the third most trafficked page on the website and continues to drive donations.
Flying Wheels also features a web store where they sell some of their latest biking merchandise. The latest item being the official Flying Wheels Cycling Jersey that is worn be the team. As the organization continues to grow be on the lookout for more merchandise.
"During this 7 day event he will travel 463 miles and ride over several mountain passes in an effort to raise awareness and money for a charity that he created called The Flying Wheels Foundation for Injured Troopers. The philosophy of the charity is simple, when a Trooper, Officer or Deputy is injured or killed in the line of duty. He/ She or their family should be focused on healing, both physically and emotionally, not dealing with financial hardships that will surely be present after any tragedy."
